HDF US Army
Adoption Policy (as of January, 2009)
Due to the new breed ownership restrictions in the
revised
US Army pet housing policy, issued January of 2009, any dogs
that fit the following descriptions cannot be adopted to members of
the US Army and/or their families: ANY and ALL Pit Bull, American
Staffordshire, Bull Terrier and Bull Dog breeds, Rottweilers,
Doberman Pinschers, or Chows. This includes both purebred and
mixed-bred dogs.
This is Sata and she is both beautiful and
fabulous in every way! Sata is a two and ½-year old
Ridgeback-Pit Bull mix. This beauty has a gorgeous coat that
is smooth-as-silk to the touch. But, don’t think that Sata
is just all looks… she is smart, fun, and well mannered,
too! Sata is wonderful with people and loves to spend her
time in the company of her favorite people and their
friends. She is an energetic girl that loves to go for walks
and play ball. But, when playtime is over, Sata is perfectly
content just hanging out by the sides of her human buddies.
Because Sata loves to play ball, being adopted by a family
with older children, who would spend lots of ball-time with
her, would be just what the doctor ordered! Sata is also a
relatively quiet girl, so there is no need to worry about
Sata making too much noise! Sata is already spayed,
up-to-date on her shots, and ready for her new forever home!
If you’d like to meet Sata, why not send our adoptions
coordinator an
email. Or, you can speed the adoption process along by
filling out an
online adoption application through the website.
Please
note: Because of this dogs
breed mixture, US Army policy prevents her from being part
of a US Army adoption. Please see the
Military Pet Housing Policy,
issued by the Department of the Army, recently revised on
January 23, 2009, for further explanation.

Sue
Bear is an 11 year old pure bred Chow Chow and
weighs 45 lbs. She is spayed and up to date on all of her
shots. Sue is an older dog but she still likes to go on
walks. She loves one on one attention and has a great
disposition but since she is older she doesn’t really care
for small children. She loves cats but doesn't really care
for other dogs. Since Sue is an older dog she is getting
hard of hearing and her eyes are not what they used to be.
If you are able to give this senior pooch a forever home
please fill out an
online adoption application, email me at
