Is there a fence around the yard? Yes No
Adoption Information
Any dog being adopted from HDF must be spayed or neutered before the adoption is complete.
We ask for a $150 donation for an adult dog; $200 for puppies.
After an adoption application is received, HDF will review the form and a representative will call you if there are further questions. A home visit is part of the adoption process.
Anyone adopting a dog from HDF must sign a waiver releasing HDF from responsibility if the dog causes harm to anyone or anything.
HDF will do follow-up calls or visits to insure everyone is happy with the new dog and that the dog is also content with its new home. These will be at the following intervals: 1 week, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.
You must agree to treat the dog with love and respect, care for all its needs, including annual visits to the veterinarian, and to NEVER intentionally cause any harm to the dog. You must provide proof of veterinarian care upon request at any time.
You must agree to have the dog micro chipped and to keep a dog tag on the dog at all times. Registration, microchip, and dog tags must be placed in your name.
If, for any reason, you are not happy with your newly adopted dog, call HDF and we will arrange to take the dog back. We cannot, however, refund the adoption donation.
You must adhere at all times to your housing regulations, lease, or landlord requirements. This includes paying any fees associated with registration of your dog for housing, landlord, etc.
You must notify us in writing if you have a change of address, or phone number.
The HDF tag is to remain on the dog for life.
By submitting this application you certify that all the responses given are true to the best of your knowledge.
